Terms of use

Plain terms.

Effective 3 September 2026. These terms govern use of verified.ceo (“the register”).

What the register is

The register records checks that were performed about a person's control of an organizational mailbox, an organization's published vouch for that person, and — where offered — registry and identity checks. Each tier label describes the check performed. A tier label is not a guarantee of any transaction, message, or conduct. Only a challenge answered by the executive speaks to a specific request, and only to the description the verifier submitted.

Executives

  • You must be entitled to use the mailbox you sign in with and to hold the role you state.
  • You are responsible for answering challenges truthfully. Confirming a request you did not make, or denying one you did, is misuse.
  • You may retire your entry at any time. Retired seals resolve to a notice saying so.

Organizations

Publishing a vouch record on your domain states that the named person holds the named role. Remove the record when that stops being true; the register re-checks daily and lapses the vouch after seven consecutive misses.

Verifiers

Challenges are for genuine verification. Harassment, automated probing, or misuse of the channel is prohibited and rate-limited; abuse may be blocked.

Availability and liability

The register is provided as-is. We work to keep it accurate and available but do not warrant either. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for losses arising from reliance on the register, including losses from acting on any request, confirmed or otherwise. Your own controls remain yours.

Changes

We may update these terms; material changes are announced on this page with a new effective date.
