How it works
Three parties. One honest record.
A person creates an entry: a founder, a CEO, or anyone on the team with a company mailbox. Their company vouches for it on infrastructure only the company controls. A counterparty checks it in ten seconds and, if something feels wrong, challenges it — and gets an answer from the person's own devices.
For people on the register
- 1
Sign in with your company email.
Consumer mailboxes are refused. Using the link we send proves you control the mailbox, and your entry goes live.
- 2
Have your company vouch for you.
One DNS record or one small file on your domain. Only your company can do that, which is why it counts.
- 3
Apply, with evidence.
Choose the claims you want reviewed and attach what each one asks for. A person decides within two to five business days, in writing.
- 4
Activate, only after approval.
Membership turns on your badges, company profile and directory listing, and keeps the yearly re-check running. It never affects the decision.
Your page starts as Email-verified the moment you sign in, and says so plainly. It becomes Company-vouched when your company publishes its record. Nothing dead-ends on IT's calendar.
Publishing a vouch record
Either option works; use whichever team is faster. Both are re-checked daily.
_verified-ceo.yourcompany.com TXT "v=1; h=<handle>; r=<role>"
One record per person at the same name, for any role. The r= role is what the page shows.
https://yourcompany.com/.well-known/verified-ceo.json
{ "v": 1, "executives": [
{ "handle": "<handle>", "role": "<role>" } ] }Served over HTTPS. Any JSON content type.
For verifiers
You do not need an account. Scan the seal, click the link in a signature, or type the handle at verified.ceo/verify. The page shows the person, who vouches for them, and the exact tier — with what it does and does not prove.
If a request feels off, press Challenge this request, describe it, and wait. The person receives your description on their own registered channels and taps Confirm or Deny. You see the answer on the result page within fifteen minutes — a green confirmation with a one-time code, a red denial, or a plain “unconfirmed”. Never ambiguity.
How to spot a fake
- The only real address is verified.ceo. A seal that scans anywhere else is not ours.
- The seal on the page must look identical to the one you scanned, and the name must be the one you expected.
- A verified person does not mean a genuine message. Only a challenge answers that.
For companies
One DNS record proves you speak for the domain. From then on, everyone who registers on it is visible to you, your approval is a company vouch for any of them, every challenge denial is an incident you can see, and no one can be your CEO without you knowing. Free.
Sign in with your company email, open Dashboard Organization, and publish the one record shown there — _verified-ceo.yourcompany.com TXT "v=1; org=<code>" or the same code in the well-known file. Whoever completes it first becomes the first administrator. From then on you see everyone who registered with your mailboxes, your approval counts as a company vouch, removal revokes their positions, and every denied challenge against your people appears as an incident. Alerts, audit export and identity-tier upgrades for the whole roster are available on request at companies@verified.ceo.
